Teenager In Trouble For Stabbing Sex Worker To Death In Bauchi

A 19-year-old boy, whose name has been withheld, has landed in trouble for stabbing a sex worker to death in Bauchi Local Government Area of the state, News About Nigeria reports.

The teen was arrested by men of the Bauchi State police command over the alleged murder.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmad Wakil, made the arrest known to the public, confirming that the suspect is currently in custody and was apprehended on Monday after he stabbed the girl with a knife and killed her.

He also disclosed that aside from the deceased, the suspect also stabbed one other person who came to rescue the deceased.

According to him, the suspect killed the sex worker during a heated argument, which came after the deceased demanded he pay her the sum of N5,000 for her services during a previous affair.

He noted that the argument had degenerated quickly and resulted in a physical confrontation from which the victim sustained various degrees of injuries, leading to her death.

He further stated that a good Samaritan had placed a distress call to the Police Command, stating that the suspect had been seen entering a hotel room at Happiness Garden situated at Bayan Gari on that same day, after which an arrest was made.

“He subsequently stabbed his girlfriend, Emmanuella Ande, around her upper chest region,” he said.

Wakil added that people had, upon hearing her scream, tried to rescue her and had opened the door forcefully, after which the suspect stabbed one of the rescuers in the hand.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect and the deceased met on the Facebook platform early this year.
