Nigerians Thrive In Crisis - APC Chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Prof. Leroy Edozien, has said that Nigerians thrive when there is a crisis, News About Nigeria reports.

In a recent interview, Edozien said that this mindset has spread from the national, regional, state, local, and even community levels and is now becoming a cultural thing in Nigeria.

According to the obstetrics and gynaecology specialist, there are no true progressives in Nigeria, even in the APC.

He further noted that the term ‘progressive’ has been abused in Nigerian politics, adding that there are not many authentic progressives in Nigeria today.

He maintained that political parties in Nigeria had no concept of shared vision and values, noting that the only thing that brought politicians together in the country was money and privileges.

According to him, when money is involved, politicians from different parties will unite to share the money, including privileges and appointments.

The APC chieftain maintained that it was a sad situation, lamenting the fact that politicians were more interested in personal gains than working together for the betterment of the country.

Speaking on the allegations that the Presidency has promised to hand over Delta to the APC by influencing the decision of the Supreme Court concerning the winner of the Governorship Election in the state, Edozien maintained that he had zero tolerance for rumours, stating that they were just allegations brought up by politicians to cause strife in the state.

He therefore advised all to step back and allow the judiciary to do its job, adding that he had faith that the Supreme Court would be fair in its judgement.
