Marlian Music owner, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, known as Sam Larry, have made their first public appearance after being released from custody.

News About Nigeria gathered that this development was shared in videos posted on TikTok on Tuesday night by Sam Larry.

In the viral videos, Naira Marley and Sam Larry were seen alongside another artiste from the record label, Oniyide Azeez, aka Zinoleesky, and a few others.

In another video, they were seen sharing foodstuffs to those in need.

This public appearance comes in the wake of a recent ruling by a Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos State, granting bail to the Marlian Music boss and Sam Larry.

The bail was set at the sum of N20 million each.

The two were initially arraigned on October 6 and remanded in custody over their alleged involvement in the death of former Marlian Music signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

On Monday, November 6, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ordered Naira Marley and Sam Larry to submit their international passports as part of the bail conditions.

They were also required to make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Prior to their bail, Naira Marley and Sam Larry filed a fundamental rights suit contesting their prolonged detention in connection with Mohbad’s death.

The suit, filed through their lawyer, Olalekan Ojo (SAN), sought N20 million in damages from the police and Lagos Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun, who ordered their remand for 21 days.

They requested the court to declare that their continued detention at the Homicide Section of the Lagos State Police Command violated their human rights and urged their release from custody, considering the elapsed 21 days.
