Some terrorists have been killed in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State by men of the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, while bombing the hideout of Boko Haram men, News About Nigeria reports.

The air raid was carried out after the Force obtained an intelligence report that a terrorist kingpin, identified as Boderi and his members, was residing at the location.

Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, made this known in a statement on Sunday, stating that the air operations were a successful one as Boderi and his cohorts were apprehended and several others killed.

He noted that the success of the operation has spurred the Force to embark on another operation, this time around targeted at Boderi’s brother.

According to him, the two brothers were behind several attacks that had been carried out on communities in the state and its environs.

Commodore Edward further noted that the Nigerian Air Force aircraft, under Operation Whirl Punch, attacked the terrorists who had been operating in the North-West and North Central regions of the country.

The operation led to the killing of several terrorists at Tsauni Doka in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

He also revealed that the operation carried out on the location through intelligence in the early hours of 16 November 2023 had left devastating consequences on the terrorists.

He noted that identical attacks, which were also successful, were carried out at a location about 500 metres east of Boderi’s hideout, believed to be the hiding place of Boderi’s brother, Nasiru.
