Nigerian TikToker, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has revealed that Instagram banned the account of popular blogger Tunde Olaokuwa Adekunle, also known as Tunde Ednut, because of him.

News About Nigeria gathered that this is the fourth time Ednut’s account has been deactivated in three years.

According to Verydarkman, Ednut’s consistency in posting about him and his activism, as well as calling out certain brands and celebrities, led to netizens reporting the account and its eventual ban, despite having over 7.5 million followers on Instagram.

Verydarkman shared this information in a post on his Instagram page and expressed his distress over what happened to Ednut’s page.

He also shared a screenshot of someone who threatened the blogger, stating that if he posts about him on his news page, they will report the account until it is deactivated.

Furthermore, Verydarkman noted that he has been receiving a lot of hate and negative energy from some people since he began speaking out against injustice in Nigeria.

In his words: “The truth is, Tunde Ednut lost his account because he didn’t stop posting about me. You guys may not understand the hate I have been facing since I started talking about a lot of injustice, and everything has just become overwhelming. I wasn’t supposed to say it, but it’s a fact; I made them report Tunde’s page.”

The activist also appealed to his followers to support the blogger and help him rebuild his backup page, emphasizing that he gained a significant portion of his followers because Tunde Ednut posted about him.
