A former aide under the Goodluck Jonathan-led administration, Reno Omokri, on Thursday, revealed that President Bola Tinubu was part of a drug cartel in Chicago, News About Nigeria reports.
According to him, Tinubu was truly part of a drug cartel in Chicago but the accusations that he did not attend nor graduate from Chicago State University (CSU) are false.
Omokri who said this in a post on his X account while defending the legitimacy of the President’s certificate from CSU said, “was Bola Tinubu involved in some way with a white heroin cartel in Chicago? Yes! Emphatically. Was he admitted, and did he attend and graduate from Chicago State University? Yes, with a capital Y!.”
According to Omokri, he advised members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to focus on Tinubu’s alleged drug trafficking instead of the Certificate forgery case but they refused.
“Privately, I told members of my party not to pursue this line of defence and instead focus on the white heroin conviction,” he revealed.
He further stated that he will not be intimidated by the insults he is getting from Nigerians for saying that he confirmed from CSU that Tinubu attended and graduated from their school.
Speaking on the authenticity of Tinubu’s certificate, Omokri noted that before September 19, 2022, he believed that some websites published about the President not attending or graduating from CSU but however on September 19, 2022, he personally went to the school and established beyond a shadow of a doubt that Tinubu, was admitted, attended and graduated from the school.
He also debunked accusations that he betrayed his Party by supporting Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC saying, “I have been with the PDP since 1998. I was in Chief Obasanjo’s house after he was released from prison. I have never looked to the left or the right. Under the rain and the sun, I am PDP. But it is only your friend that can tell you your mouth is smelling.”
