Mohbad: Celebrities, Fans Commemorate Late Singer's 28th Birthday

Lere Olayinka, the former media aide to the ex-governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has taken to Instagram to publicly address late singer Mohbad’s mother.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Olayinka alleged that Mohbad’s mother had abandoned the late singer and his sister for a period of fifteen years, showing no sign of interest in their welfare during that time.

He further claimed that it was only after those fifteen years that she reappeared in their lives, seemingly benefiting from the child she had allegedly abandoned.

Olayinka’s post reads: ‘’A woman left two children, MOHBAD and his sister, in the hands of a man and never looked back until after 15 years.

“Today, the same woman is living in an apartment in a major Estate in Lekki, Lagos, courtesy of the child she abandoned for 15 years!

“Meanwhile, the daughter she abandoned alongside MOHBAD had to learn TAILORING and has no shop of her own up till today. She is doing her tailoring in her father’s house.

“And the same woman too is receiving condolences on a child that died partly because the mother who should have helped to make him a better person abandoned him for 15 years.”

News About Nigeria reported that Mohbad’s mother detailed how her son was allegedly assaulted and victimised by his former boss, Afeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, and his associates, leading to his tragic demise.

Speaking in Yoruba, she refuted claims that Mohbad was mentally unstable and revealed that her son lived in constant fear during his final days.

She corroborated Mohbad’s claim that he was coerced into consuming a mysterious whitish substance, which allegedly worsened his condition.
