The All Progressives Congress, APC on Thursday applauded Nigeria’s Judiciary for their judgement on Wednesday in the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) which upheld President Bola Tinubu’s victory as the winner of the February 25 Presidential Election, News About Nigeria reports.

The ruling Party also stated that through the PEPT Judgement, Nigeria’s democratic journey has been strengthened.

The National Secretary of the party, Ajibola Basiru who said this in Abuja also congratulated Tinubu on his victory at the PEPT.

According to the party, although the 2023 presidential election was keenly contested, the outcome remains a wholesale endorsement of their vision, values and commitment to rebuilding and repositioning Nigeria for greatness.

The APC further acknowledged and applauded the diligence and professionalism of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, security agencies, local and foreign observers and other stakeholders in ensuring a credible, free and fair election.

They also enjoined all Nigerians, irrespective of ethnicity, religion or political leanings to partner with Tinubu’s administration in building a better, more prosperous nation.

“As we soldier on in the business of governance, the APC will stay focused and resolute in fostering unity and improving the quality of life of all Nigerians as enshrined in the eight-point agenda of this administration.” He added.

Recall that the PEPT sitting in Abuja on Wednesday dismissed petitions by Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP and Princess Chi Chi Ojei against the declaration of President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 Presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
