Akeredolu Immediately Resumes Office After Three Months Medical Leave

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has revealed that he will immediately be resuming office as after arriving from his three-month medical leave.

Making this disclosure in a statement, Akedolu’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, detailed that the governor made the announcement while meeting with stakeholders in Ibadan the Oyo state capital where he landed on arriving from his medical leave.

News About Nigeria recalls that Governor Akeredolu on Thursday returned from his medical leave.

The statement detailed that Governor Akeredolu handed his resumption letter to the speaker of the Ondo State Assembly, detailing that he would be resuming office as the state governor immediately.

“I want to tell you that I am back, and I will resume work immediately. This is my letter of resumption.”

“We are now back, and we give God all the glory. I have to let members of the House of Assembly know first that we have returned. As of today, I’m back as Governor of Ondo State. We thank God that I am alive and here. It’s your prayers that have kept us here. The office of the Governor has resumed full work,” the governor was quoted in the statement to have said.

The Governor thanked the people of Ondo State for their ceaseless prayers and support during his recovery process.

Mr Akeredolu further assured Ondo citizens of his administration’s unwavering commitment to the progress and development of the state.

Speaking on behalf of the lawmakers, the Speaker expressed appreciation for the Governor’s safe return and said that his return to the nation was an answer to prayer.
