Tinubu Celebrates Reno Omokri On 50th Birthday

Former presidential spokesman Reno Omokri suggests that Nigeria is not a failed nation because Peter Obi lost at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Making this assertion in a tweet on Thursday, Mr Omokri argued that the fact that the judiciary ruled against Peter Obi does not mean it is compromised.

“Nigeria is not a failed nation because Peter Obi lost. Our judiciary is not compromised simply because they did not make the third-place loser the winner. Your curses that Nigeria will never know peace for ‘cheating’ the people’s choice will return to haunt you and your community,” Mr Omokri wrote.

The former presidential spokesman who targeted his comments at supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party further suggested that there would be no coup in the country.

News About Nigeria reports that his comments come as supporters of Peter Obi continue to register their displeasure with the Wednesday verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Mr Omokri who had been an ardent supporter of the Atiku Abubakar presidential bid has recently been found defending the emergence of President Bola Tinubu as the country’s president over his chosen candidate.

News About Nigeria recalls that Mr Omokri on Wednesday predicted that the tribunal ruling will favour either President Bola Tinubu or Atiku Abubakar.

However, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party have rejected the tribunal verdict, with Atiku announcing that he will be approaching the Supreme Court as he seeks to overturn the tribunal’s ruling.

However, Labour Party says it is waiting to receive the certified true copy of the tribunal verdict before announcing its next line of action.
