Jadon Sancho Receives Saudi Offer After Faceoff With Boss Erik Ten Hag

Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United hangs in the balance following a highly publicized disagreement with manager Erik ten Hag, News About Nigeria reports.

The 23-year-old winger, who started all of United’s first Premier League games, was notably absent from the squad in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal.

Ten Hag did not hold back when explaining Sancho’s omission, citing the player’s poor performances in training as the reason behind his decision.

Sancho, however, took to social media to refute these claims and hinted at deeper issues within the club.

In a post on his social media, Sancho stated, “Please don’t believe everything you read. I will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue.

“I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter which I won’t go into; I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time, which isn’t fair!”

Sancho, who joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for a £73 million fee, and is under contract until the summer of 2026.

While the summer transfer window for UK clubs closed last Friday, Saudi Arabia’s transfer window remains open until the end of Thursday, September 7.

However, this extended window has drawn criticism from English clubs as it allows the possibility of players moving to the Middle East after it is too late to secure replacements.

Sport Italia has reported that an unnamed Saudi Pro League club has made an official offer to Sancho’s representatives.

This last-minute move has been rumoured could be appealing to Ten Hag, particularly considering his apparent dissatisfaction with the player.

Sancho’s poor form at United has seen him excluded from the England squad, missing out on both the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the upcoming matches against Ukraine and Scotland.
