Nigerians React As Pictures Of Palliatives Distributed in Nassarawa Surfaces on Social Media

Netizens have continued to react as pictures of palliatives distributed in Nassarawa state surfaced on social media, News About Nigeria reports.

Recall that in the aftermath of subsidy removal that saw the pump price of fuel rose outrageously, and President Bola Tinubu‘s led government promised to distribute palliatives to Nigerians as part of its effort to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.

However, Nigerians have continued to express their displeasure with the government over the items being distributed as palliatives.

Reacting to the development, Godwin lamented that the Nigerian government was fond of impoverishing Nigerians.

“Nigerian government are fond of impoverished people and making life hard for them. Eni kure,” he wrote.

On his part, Dr Youngz described the palliative as a waste of resources. According to him the palliatives distributed by the state government would have no impact

“This is a waste of resources by the government. What will be the effect of these nonsense they are sharing with the masses?” he wrote.

On his part , @phemmie_jay tasked state government to be more prudent with their spending.
“Just for one person 😳, is this not too much? Our government needs to be more prudent with their spending……ENKR,” he wrote.
President Bola Tinubu had in July earnmarked N5bn to each state to boost their palliative measures as they look to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal .
