Mark Vs Musk

Renowned tech entrepreneur and CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, has shared his perspective on the playful exchange between him and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, which led to the idea of a mock fight, News About Nigeria reports.

It started as a joke but turned into a viral sensation. Musk and Zuckerberg have been teasing each other for weeks about a possible cage fight, however, despite the hype and the memes, the fight seems over.

The feud began in June when Musk commented on Zuckerberg’s new social media app Threads, which competes with X (formerly Twitter). One of Musk’s followers warned him that Zuckerberg knows jujitsu, to which Musk replied: “I joked on X about fighting Zuck.”

Zuckerberg responded by posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet on Threads and saying: “Send Me Location”, implying that he was ready to accept the challenge.

Musk then suggested Italy’s Colosseum as a venue, but Zuckerberg declined. Musk reportedly, also offered Zuckerberg’s home as a “safe space”, but Zuckerberg said he was “traveling”.

Musk continued to taunt Zuckerberg on X, calling him a “chicken” and saying he was “lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight.”

He also said he would stream the fight on X and donate all proceeds to charity for veterans. Zuckerberg replied by questioning X’s reliability and saying he was ready to fight anytime.

However, neither of them confirmed a date or a location for the fight and the public interest soon faded.

Some observers speculated that the whole thing was a publicity stunt to promote their respective platforms and products, while others saw it as a representation of the rivalry between Big Tech giants and their different visions for the future of technology and society.

Regardless of their motives, Musk and Zuckerberg is said to have shown that they are not afraid to go gangsta on each other, even if it means risking their reputations and their billions.

But until they step into the cage, their fans will have to settle for watching them fight online.
