Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju has called upon the authorities for the arrest of Asari Dokubo, the former Nigeria Delta militant.

According to Adeyanju, Dakubo should be put behind bars because he threatened the Governor of Rivers State, Governor Slim Fubara.
Deji made the request in a plea to Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, on Wednesday.
The petition reads partly: “The extant viral clip of Dokubo Asari threatening Governor Fubara should be abhorrently intolerable. A sitting governor is equivalent to the will of the people.
“Dokubo and his gun wielding thugs front themselves who are not effectively restricted by the constitution or bound by the rule of law.
“Therefore, sir, I submit that Dokubo Asari be arrested effective and immediately for threat to national security and utter disregard for the rule of law.”
This comes after Asari Dokubo issued a threat to unleash fire and brimstone on the sitting governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, if he cause a problem in his camp.
In a video that made its way online, gathering reactions, Dokubo was seen accusing Governor Fubara of looking for trouble and threatening that if he kept at it he would retaliate.
“Boko Haram will be a child’s play,” Dokubo said.
Commanding the response of the youth who stood guard behind him, Dokubo chanted, “Him go collect.” And the people responded, saying, “Woto Woto.”
Dokubo asserted to the Rivers State Governor as a nobody and an ordinary person like him.
“We did not look for his trouble, so he shouldn’t look for ours, because if he does, him go collect,” he said.
He claimed that Fubara rigged the elections to become governor and even refused his help when he offered it.
