Nollywood actress Mary Remmy Njoku has taken to social media to express her frustration over the current state of affairs in the nation, particularly the rising fuel and food prices under the administration of President Tinubu.

In a post on her Instagram page, Mary Njoku shared a receipt showing that she had paid 664 Naira at a toll gate, highlighting the increasing cost of living in the country. News About Nigeria reports.

She expressed concern about whether such high toll fees were becoming the norm or if she had been overcharged.

The actress also lamented the soaring cost of fuel, noting that filling a car’s tank now costs more than the minimum wage set by the government.

She questioned how people were managing to survive amidst such economic challenges.

“I just paid 664 naira for toll gate. Na so e don be? Abi Dem cheat me. It now takes more than the minimum monthly wage to fill the tank of a car. How are people surviving?”.

Mary Njoku’s frustration with the current situation comes in the wake of her previous questioning of why many individuals waste their energies on living a fake and ostentatious lifestyle.

She urged people to redirect their efforts into achieving real success and prosperity, rather than seeking validation from others who do not genuinely care about them.

As fuel and food prices continue to rise, many Nigerians, including public figures like Mary Njoku, are expressing their concerns about the impact on the average citizen’s standard of living.

“Why do we put so much energy into ‘looking like we made it?

Instead of using same energy in attempting to make it.

It will never make sense to me.

They say everyone isn’t destined to make it’ But what if YOU, are one of the destined few? And you are busy wasting away your destiny in a fake world you ve built to deceive yourself and get validation from people who don’t care about you.

Wake up”.
