Sallah: Senate President Akpabio, Lead Delegation To Visit APC National Chairman

A delegation of senators led by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and his deputy, Senator Barau Jibrin, paid a visit to the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, at his residence in Keffi, Nasarawa State during the Sallah celebrations, News About Nigeria reports.

Senator Akpabio had previously sent warm greetings to Nigerians on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir and called for support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

He highlighted the importance of submitting to the will of God and the value of sacrifice in our daily lives.

During the visit, the Senate President expressed admiration for the progress made by President Tinubu since taking office.

Senators Dave Umahi, Ali Ndume, and Opeyemi Bamidele were also part of the delegation.

Senator Akpabio emphasized the Islamic teachings of love and goodwill towards others during the festive season.

He praised the integrity of the APC National Chairman and his instrumental role in the successful zoning arrangements within the National Assembly.

The Senate President assured his commitment to support President Bola Tinubu‘s administration and stated that the 10th National Assembly would work towards enacting legislation that aligns with the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda, aimed at promoting national peace, unity, and development.

In the meantime, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) called on members of the National Assembly to collaborate with the executive arm of government for the benefit of the Nigerian people.

Senator Abdulahi Adamu, the party’s national chairman, congratulated the Senate President and his deputy on their respective positions and stressed the importance of effective collaboration between the Legislature and the Executive for the nation’s interest.

During the visit, there were indications that the delegation included senators recommended for principal offices in the Senate.
