American rapper and entrepreneur, Rick Ross, has emphasized the importance of empowering one’s circle and family as a vital strategy for maintaining long-term wealth.

News About Nigeria reports in a recent interview on Hot 107.9 FM, the hip-hop star shared insights into his approach to financial success and the significance of investing in those around him. During the interview, Rick Ross highlighted the potential problems that can arise when an individual attains wealth while their immediate circle remains in poverty.

He stressed that empowering one’s circle is crucial to fostering a harmonious and sustainable environment.

The Maybach Music founder explained that by making strategic investments that empower those in their circle, wealthy individuals can avoid being constantly approached for financial favors or assistance.

According to Rick Ross, this can be achieved by informing the individuals in their circle about the plan to empower them and setting clear expectations.

He emphasized that individuals who are not willing to work and generate their own income should not expect handouts.

Rick Ross shared a personal example, citing his implementation of this principle within his nuclear family. As a result, he revealed that his mother and sister have not asked him for financial assistance in years.

By empowering them to create their own financial independence, he fostered a sense of self-sufficiency and reduced the dependency on his personal resources.

Ross said; “Staying rich – one of the biggest keys to that is empowering your circle, empowering your family, because you being rich and everybody else being broke next to you, it’s only going to be so long before you’re jammed up.”

He added; “Just like my mum, my sister, they ain’t ask me for nothing in years”
