Marcus Rashford’s love story with boyhood girlfriend Lucia Loi is said to have ended on a sad note after nine years, News About Nigeria confirms.

The Manchester United strike reportedly met with Lucia as a 15-year-old back in high school and has since been together until recently.

Rashford who traveled to Miami for summer vacation dropped his lovebird this time around, for Courtney Caldwell, a party fitness influencer who runs a “Big Booty University” to teach people how to get a “bum like Kim Kardashian”

The two is said to have been spotted over the weekend entering a luxury hotel in Miami, after visiting a posh nightclub. Courtney was said to have been seen departing the hotel at 5 in the morning.

Meanwhile, according to Rashford’s Psychologists Emma Kenny, the player’s freedom is long overdue, having shown so much commitment to Lucia over the years.

“He’s been with Lucia so long he’s not had the chance to really experience everything that comes with being a famous person.

“He’s watched his contemporaries and peers go through various experiences while he’s been stuck behind glass being a loyal partner and that glass is now shattered,” he said.

Kenny however noted that his relationship with his now ex-girlfriend could have worked if they had negotiated well.

“If they had negotiated this relationship, it would have been quite beautiful. You are more likely to have a successful relationship and marriage if you get together early on because you’ve grown together.

“When you come out of a long-term relationship, there’s definitely a pressure to feel like you’re not going to get stuck in that past situation and, if you’ve been together for a long time, in your head, you try to make up for those lost years,”

He however pointed out that “this split won’t be without its wounds.”
