Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is reportedly interested in acquiring Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Jr for the upcoming season, according to a report by News About Nigeria.

Manchester United is said to be actively negotiating with the Brazilian player to strengthen their squad, particularly in light of the potential departure of Anthony Martial by the end of the season.

Meanwhile, PSG has expressed its willingness to offload Neymar on a permanent deal, as the player himself desires to leave the French club.

However, Manchester United is reportedly considering a loan deal for the 31-year-old instead of a permanent transfer.

Due to Neymar’s desire to leave PSG, it is believed that the club may accept a loan offer, whether or not it includes an option to buy, while Manchester United would contribute to the Brazilian’s salary for the duration of the loan.

Neymar has enjoyed an impressive career with renowned clubs but has never played for an English team.

A move to Manchester United or any other English Premier League team would be a groundbreaking transfer for the skillful player.

However, he may need to reassess his style of play to adapt to the more attacking nature of games in the Premier League.

Other clubs, such as Chelsea and Bayern Munich, have also reportedly shown strong interest in signing Neymar.

Chelsea, with the arrival of former PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino, may have an advantage in securing the services of the former Barcelona player.

Additionally, reports suggest that Casemiro, a fellow Brazilian and midfielder for Manchester United, has played a crucial role in facilitating discussions between the club and Neymar.

It is believed that Neymar’s decision to leave PSG is influenced by Lionel Messi’s departure from the club as well.

Neymar and Messi have been close friends since their time at Barcelona, and their partnership at PSG has also yielded positive results for the team.

Although Messi is expected to return to Barcelona this summer, there is speculation that he may reconsider and accept a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
