Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has expressed confidence in the club’s ability to qualify for the Champions League, stating that “everything is in their hands.”

He made the remarks after United suffered their second defeat in four days, opening the door for Liverpool to catch up.

News About Nigeria understands that although United is still one point ahead of Liverpool, the latter team now has only one game in hand after United’s 1-0 loss to West Ham on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Man United has lost two consecutive league games, while Liverpool is on a winning streak of six matches.

When asked if Liverpool’s recent run was affecting his team, Ten Hag dismissed concerns, stating that his squad is not troubled by Liverpool’s performance, as their main problem is internal.

He said; “It’s not about Liverpool; it’s about us because if you look at the table, we have everything in our hands.

“If we bring our performance and we bring our standards we will win games. We don’t have to look to others, we have to look to ourselves, and we have to find a way to get back to our levels.

“Nothing changes. We could have made it easier if we had won, but we need three wins in four games. Everything is in our hands. We have to believe”
