Former English Premier League player and Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has said that Arsenal Football Club should be happy to have played a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in yesterday’s Premier League match.

He said the Gunners should be excited for securing a point at Anfield Stadium.

The draw against Liverpool means the league race is now in Manchester City’s hands as they have a game advantage.

“Arsenal should be delighted with the point

“I really do. I know people will say, look at the picture and that [Manchester] City are back in control of it, but I think it was a great point for Arsenal.

“I know they were two-nil up and you could say they were comfortable, but in the last 15 minutes, when you are hanging in there, against Liverpool, in front of the Kop you have got to be grateful for what you get out of the place and that is a point. Be thankful for it,” he told Sky Sports.

News About Nigeria had reported earlier that Arsenal blew a two-goal lead in a pulsating 2-2 draw at Liverpool on Sunday to give Manchester City fresh hope of retaining the Premier League title.

Goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus appeared to have Arsenal cruising toward an eighth consecutive league win.

But Mohamed Salah pulled a goal back before half-time to spark a Liverpool fightback.

Salah missed a second-half penalty before Roberto Firmino headed in the equaliser three minutes from time.

Jurgen Klopp’s men then missed a series of chances to complete the comeback as Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale salvaged a point for his side.
