Since the sack of Graham Potter last weekend, Chelsea has been in the news for obvious reasons, among which is the quest for a new manager.
Bruno Saltor has been named the interim coach while the team’s board continues its search for Potter’s replacement.
Notable among such names is Julian Nagelsmann, former Bayern Munich coach who was also sacked on the eve of April.
The gaffer is said to be Chelsea’s favourite among many names like Luis Enrique, former Barcelona coach and Pochettino, former Tottenham coach.
As obtained by News About Nigeria, popular football pundit Fabrizo Romano said, “Contacts between Chelsea and Julian Nagelsmann will continue today (Wednesday), in order to make a decision. on both sides with German coach favorite candidate since Sunday. 🔵 #CFC
Luis Enrique remains one of the names on the list.

In a separate post, Romano said, “I Understand Julian Nagelsmann has always been appreciated by Chelsea as future top coach, one to watch..
Reacting to Romano’s post, DaSilvacosta, a Twitter user expressed certainty that Nagelsmann will join the London side.
“It’s either today or tomorrow then he’ll be in blue colour. I love that, Madrid get more than ready.💪💪💪.”

Recall that Chelsea had sacked Graham Potter after their 0-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge by Aston Villa.
Potter served as Chelsea’s manager from September 2022 to April 2023. He will be remembered for his success qualifying the Blues for the Champions League quarter-finals after a brace at the backyard of Borussia Dortmund.
However, he is condemned by many Chelsea fans for taking the team from 4th on the league table when he came in, to 11th upon his exit from the club.
