Pastor Enenche, Wife Visit Borno, Donate Relief Materials To Flood Victims

The founder and general overseer of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, and his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, visited Maiduguri on Monday to sympathise with victims of the recent flood disaster in the state.

News About Nigeria reports that the couple were received by the Borno State Governor, Umara Babagana Zulum.

Recall that the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) had revealed that nearly half of Maiduguri was submerged in water after the Alau Dam overflowed following heavy rainfall.

The flood had caused the destruction of many government and private owned properties, many houses and businesses, leaving thousands of persons displaced.

During their visit, Dr. Enenche and his wife went to the various parts of the state affected by the flood to encourage and also donate relief materials to the victims.

Asides from donating relief materials to the victims, the pastors cum medical doctors also utilised their medical expertise by offering free medical checkups and treatment to victims.

They also prayed that God would help the state recover all that have been lost, adding that they hope that there is no repetition of such disaster.

Sharing photos and videos from the visit in a series of post on his Instagram account on Monday, Dr. Enenche wrote, “Dunamis Maiduguri Rapid Flood Intervention Outreach (YERWA). 16-09-2024. Still in maiduguri. We are here on a goodwill and solidarity visit to the good people of the land following the flood incidence of the last 6 days.

“First received at the airport by the deputy Governor Umar Usman Kadafur. Then stop at the Government house with the Executive Governor, Borno state; His Excellency Professor Babagana Umara Zulum and the Deputy Governor, Borno state; His Excellency Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur with the Special Assistant on Protocol to the Governor. Second stop at the Dunamis church. Third stop IDP camp.
