C&S Church Cautions Prophets Against Performing Rituals For 'Yahoo Boys'

The leadership of Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church Worldwide has cautioned its prophets against performing rituals for youths who engage in internet fraud popularly known as ‘yahoo yahoo’ in Nigeria.

News About Nigeria reports that the admonition was made by Senior Apostle Samuel Onigbinde, the Chairman of C&S Unification Osun State, at the church’s pre-centenary revival in Osogbo on Monday.

The Apostle noted that it is the evil men who disguise themselves as prophets that are organising such ritual prayers for the fraudsters.

Onigbinde further stated that such practice is against the doctrine of the church’s founder, Moses Orimolade, which is based on healing through divinity, fasting, and prayers rather than conjuring spirits.

He also warned prophets against romanticising politicians but to ensure to tell them the truth.

“One of the essence of the Unification among the church is to fight strange practices among members. C&S is not for Yahoo boys, those prophets hiding under the white garment to perpetrate such evils must stop. A committee is already in place to ensure everyone conforms to the teachings of Prophet Moses Orimolade of blessed memory.

“The joblessness in Nigeria has made many people turn their ability to the Church. It is also unfortunate that Clerics have been romancing the political class and can no longer hold them accountable for their actions and in actions in government. The increase in crime rate despite the proliferation of religious centres is a result of the failure of religious leaders. I called on our leaders to stop fraternising with politicians to hold them accountable while in public offices.”
