Netizens Slam Prophet For Predicting April 25th As Rapture Day

The Nigerian Pastor, Prophet Metu, who prophesied that the world was going to end on the 25th of April, 2024, have revealed why his prophecy didn’t come to pass.

According him, the world didn’t end on that day because he embarked on a 21 days fasting and prayer to pray to God.

The pastor, who shared this in a post on his X account, noted that God showed the world mercy and gave people more time to live on earth.

His post reads, “The Lord Showed Us Mercy. After our 21days fasting and prayer, he heard us and gave us more time to live. Prayer works.”

Reacting to his claim, an X user, @chukwu_io, noted that he is just busy playing with the name of God because he wants to gather impression and earn from Elon Musk.

He said, “You get luck say we no dey Old Testament again. In the meantime, enjoy your Elon’s money.”

Also, another X user, @greg tasked Prophet Metu to stop calling himself a pastor as he was never called by God.

He further urged him to relent as the kingdom of God is coming soon.

Greg said, “Step down and repent as you are a false prophet, false teacher. Yes, get out of the ministry and seek the Lord for forgiveness and openly repent and apologize for being a false teacher. You have caused many to stumble and you do not understand Jesus second coming.”

News About Nigeria recalls that, following Prophet Metu’s prophecy that the world would end on Thursday, 25 April, 2024, many Nigerians had called him out tagging him false since his prophecy didn’t come to pass.

In a video he shared on his X account on March 19, 2024, the pastor charged everyone to be ready as the world would soon end.

He had claimed that God told him that it was time to rapture the world as it is written in the scriptures.
