Court Lifts Ganduje's Suspension As APC Member

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, inaugurated a six-man committee on Wednesday comprising six governors to coordinate party affairs in their various geopolitical zones, News About Nigeria reports.

The swearing-in ceremony of the six governors was done today at the APC national headquarters in Abuja.

The APC governors from the six geopolitical zones include Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Bassey Otu of Cross River, Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Uba Sani of Kaduna State, and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State.

During the swearing-in, the former Kano governor explained that Sanwo-Olu would coordinate the party’s activities for the south-west zone while Uzodimma would take charge of the south-east.

On the other hand, Otu will be in charge of the South-South, while the trio of AbdulRazaq, Sani, and Buni will coordinate the affairs of the North-Central, North-West, and North-East regions.

He noted that their role will be “to mobilise the demand of the people and to form an agenda for the party and the government. We also need to disseminate information on what the government is doing down to the people. To do that, we have narrowed down our activities to geopolitical zones. So, in all this, there must be a governor who will oversee, motivate, and encourage all within that zone. That is the only way that we can move forward quickly.

“Therefore, we need you (newly inaugurated coordinators) to mobilise other governors of the zones to effectively and physically participate in party activities within and outside the zone. Also, consult with the governors on issues that will further enhance the progress and unity of the party and assist the APC on resource mobilisation in the zones.”
