Why I Exhumed, Reburied My Mother – Portable

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has revealed the reason behind the exhumation and reburial of his mother’s remains, News About Nigeria reports.

The ‘Zazu’ crooner recently made headlines after a video surfaced online showing the exhumation process.

In the video, Portable revealed that he lost his mother at the tender age of 13.

He explained that he had to exhume her body due to the sale of the land where she was initially buried.

The singer said he wanted to honour his mother’s memory by relocating her remains to a new resting place.

Furthermore, Portable said he intends to build a mansion at the site where he reburied his mother.

He said, “I tragically lost my mother when I was just 13 years old. I had to relocate her remains because the land where she was initially laid to rest had been sold.”

In 2023, Portable took to his Instagram page to express his frustration over dealing with untrustworthy people in his life.

The artist lamented that people have been speaking ill of him behind his back, causing him emotional distress and physical discomfort.

In his heartfelt message, Portable shared his concerns and mentioned that the negative comments made about him have become so overwhelming that they are affecting his well-being.

He revealed that the situation has reached a point where he is experiencing physical pain in his back.

Recognising his own stubborn nature, he called upon God for intervention, hoping that the Lord would help him resolve the issue before it escalated and led to undesirable consequences.
