2baba Ends 20-Year Partnership With Manager Efe Omorogbe

Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2baba, has officially parted ways with his longtime manager, Efe Omorogbe, who serves as the CEO of Now Muzik, a prominent talent management company.

News About Nigeria reports that the announcement came through a joint statement posted on Instagram by Now Muzik on Wednesday.

The statement cited a mutual agreement for the immediate termination of their longstanding partnership.

Expressing gratitude for the collaborative journey, Omorogbe acknowledged 2baba as one of Nigeria’s greatest musicians and stated that he was honoured to work alongside him over the past two decades.

He spoke on the achievements they accomplished together, spanning music production, brand building, and fan entertainment.

Omorogbe assured that he would continue to support 2baba from the sidelines and would advocate for his continued success.

In response, 2baba acknowledged the pivotal role played by Omorogbe and the entire Now Muzik team in shaping his career.

He expressed gratitude for the support and success they achieved together, recognising that every good thing must eventually come to an end.

“I know it’s a cliche but every good thing must come to an end. I owe a lot of my career success to Efe and his team at Now Muzik.

“Everything I’ve been able to achieve is a result of the support of so many people and organisations working with me to bring my talent and vision to life. Now Muzik is one of such companies and I couldn’t be more grateful to them,” 2baba said.

Notably, 2baba joined Now Muzik management in 2004 after departing from The Plantashun Boiz.

Following the separation, 2baba will now be represented by his new management company, Hypertek Digital.
