My Major Aim Is Making Nigerians Happy - Nwabali

Stanley Nwabali, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, has said that his primary aim as a goalkeeper is to make Nigerians happy.

Nwabali, who said this after Nigeria’s victory over South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals, added that he is happy that Nigerians are excited following the Super Eagles win at the match.

Speaking to Newsmen after yesterday’s match, Nwabali appreciated God for his help and also appreciated his coaches for all the investments they have made to make him better.

The Chippa United goalkeeper also appreciated his club and the Nigerian team, noting that the win was possible because of them.

In his own words, “I don’t really know how I am feeling. When I look around, because of Nigerians, I only want to make them happy and just make them feel good.”

“They always know this slogan ‘you no go gree for anybody’ and I really want to do more for Nigeria. I love them all. Thank you to everyone who wishes me well.”

Speaking on the finals slated for Sunday, February 10, 2024, against Ivory Coast, Nwabali expressed his optimism that the Super Eagles would be able to come out victorious.

According to him, the match with South Africa’s Bafana Bafana has shown him that anything is possible, and they are hoping that it will turn out well for Nigeria.

News About Nigeria reports that Nwabali became the man-of-the-match following his performance and ability to save two penalties making Nigeria have a 4-2 penalty shootout win over South Africa in the semi-finals of the ongoing tournament in Ivory Coast.

Following the Super Eagles’ win against South Africans, the team has qualified for the finals of the African Cup of Nations.
