Renowned Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage has fallen victim to a robbery incident in London, United Kingdom, News About Nigeria reports.
The artist took to her Instagram page to share the unfortunate event, revealing that she was robbed on Wednesday.
Tiwa Savage, however, did not provide specific details about the incident in her social media post.
She wrote; “Damn London, una show me pepper o. I got robbed yesterday.”
Similarly, in December 2022, television host Toke Makinwa also reported being robbed of her valuables in London.
The incident occurred shortly after she attended the white wedding of Nollywood actress Rita Dominic and her husband, Fidelis Anosike, in North Yorkshire, England.
She stated that the burglars had taken her belongings, adding that she was left confused and puzzled as to how such an incident could have happened to her.
Toke Makinwa expressed her disbelief and confusion on her Snapchat page, stating, “Just got robbed in London… I’m speechless. All my valuables are gone. Gosh! How could this happen to me.”
In the same 2022, Nigerian singer Yemi Alade also shared her experience of being robbed in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, after travelling to the country for a performance over the weekend.
Yemi Alade claimed that unknown individuals broke into her hotel room a few minutes after she left, rummaged through her belongings, and stole all the money they could find.
She wrote: “A few minutes after I left my room, some unknown people decided to go through my things and steal all the money they could find ,very good.”
