Economy Will Become Stable – Gombe Governor

Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has said that the economy of the country will become stable soon, News About Nigeria reports.

The governor made this known on Tuesday while inaugurating phase two of palliative distribution to residents of the state.

He maintained that President Bola Tinubu was working alongside state governors and also intensifying efforts to ensure that the hardship that was caused by the removal of subsidy on petrol, was brought to an end.

According to the governor, Nigerians will soon enjoy the benefits of fuel subsidy removal.

He also revealed that a lot of investments were being made, stating that these investments were aimed at moving Nigerians out of the present economic hardship they were facing and giving them better conditions and better living standards.

According to the governor, in no distant time, the economic hardship in the country will become a thing of the past.

He also assured Nigerians that the Federal Government and all other authorities in the country will move as fast as they can to put an end to the hardship caused by the subsidy removal.

The governor further stated that the Port Harcourt refinery is resuming production, noting that the removal of fuel subsidy is one of the reasons for the economic hardship.

He urged the people to have faith in the government and exercise a little patience.

“Soon we will have our locally refined petroleum product getting to the people and there is no reason why such products that are made locally will cost as much as what it is costing the people now,” he said.
