Kwara Governor Names SSA For Herdsmen Community

The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has announced several key appointments and reappointments in his administration, News About Nigeria reports. 

Among the notable appointments is the reappointment of Aishat Yusuf as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Herdsmen Community Outreach.

This announcement was made in a statement issued on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, and was made available to the media in Ilorin, the state capital.

In addition to the reappointment of Aishat Yusuf, Governor AbdulRazaq also approved the reconstitution of the state’s Muslim Pilgrims Board and Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.

Notably, several top academic and community leaders have been appointed as chairpersons of these boards.

Mashood Jimba, a lecturer at the Kwara State University, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board. Other members of the board include Hajia Fatimah Hassanah, Khadijat Abutawwiy, Abubakar Agbaje, Abibat Otuyo, and Musa Haruna Farikebe.

Timothy Opoola, a former chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the state, has been reappointed as the chairman of the state’s Christian Pilgrims’ Welfare Board.

He will be supported by members including Babatunde Alade, Kolo Philips, Bamigbola Idowu, Opeyemi Stephen, Oluwatoyin Opawoye, and Pastor Oladipupo Emmanuel.

In addition to these appointments, the Governor also reappointed Eyiwuni Muka Aramide, known as Muka Ray, as the Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism, recognising his dedication and resourcefulness in his previous role.

Furthermore, Mariam Nnafatima has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting the government’s renewed commitment to human capital development.

These appointments and reappointments reflect the state’s efforts to engage diverse talents and leaders to further development and outreach initiatives in Kwara.
