2027: Presidency Speaks On Distractions By Peter Obi, Obidients

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has sent a message to his supporters after the presidential election Petition tribunal struck out jis petition against the election of President Bola Tinubu.

Mr Obi, in a tweet on Saturday, urged his supporters to keep hopes alive.

“Today, I want to personally reach out and encourage you all to keep hope alive. Considering the challenges that lie ahead of us as a movement, despair is not an option. Nothing good in life comes easy. Throughout history, positive changes come only with sacrifices, perseverance, resilience and fluctuating fortunes,” Mr Obi wrote.
News About Nigeria reports that his comment comes as he prepares to challenge the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal at the Supreme Court.
Mr Obi in the tweet reminded his followers that the journey to reclaim his mandate as Nigeria’s president was not a short sprint but a long tough marathon.
The Labour Party’s presidential candidate suggested that his loss at PEPT had motivated him to rededicate himself to building a new Nigeria.
“I wish to assure you that our recent disappointments have inspired me to re-dedicate myself to the cause of building a New Nigeria. For me, rescuing Nigeria is a lifelong commitment, and on this journey, we shall be resolute but orderly, principled but lawful,” he added.
Recall that the PEPT on Wednesday struck out petitions brought by PDP and Labour Party against the victory of President Bola Tinubu at the February presidential election.
However, the opposition parties have rejected the verdict of the PEPT announcing that they will be contesting the verdict at the Supreme Court.
