Man Utd Away Kit

Manchester United have unveiled their highly anticipated away kit for the 2023-24 season, a striking departure from previous designs, News About Nigeria gathered.

Adidas, the sportswear brand behind the kit, has taken inspiration from the club’s storied past to create a bold and modern look.

The standout feature of the new away shirt is its green-striped design, harkening back to United’s early years when alternative strips often featured stripes of various colors, including green, gold, blue and white.

This nod to history is reportedly combined with inspiration from the city of Manchester itself.

The green stripes, separated by maroon-red lines, draw from the city’s distinctive red bricks and architecture. The dark green base reflects the urban landscape at the heart of the bustling city, giving the shirt a distinctive and contemporary feel.

Completing the design is a crew-neck collar, providing a classic touch to the otherwise modern kit.

Adidas spokesperson said: “We’re incredibly excited to return to a design that is fundamental to the heritage of this great club. Vertical stripes are in the DNA of Manchester United, and we hope this bold new look captures the imaginations of fans as they travel the globe supporting the team.

“We have intentionally taken cues from the city itself, to provide both the players and travelling fans with a piece of home, wherever they are wearing it.”

The environmentally conscious move by Adidas sees the shirt crafted from 100% recycled materials, aligning with Manchester United’s commitment to sustainability.

On the field, the jersey features HEAT.RDY technology keeps the players cool during their matches in the upcoming season.

For supporters, the kit uses AEROREADY technology, ensuring comfort and dryness while cheering on their beloved team. /+United’s star players, including Marcus Rashford and captain Bruno Fernandes, have proudly modeled the new design.

However, fans will get their first glimpse of the kit in action when United faces Wrexham during their tour of the US on July 25.
