Manchester United is reportedly not negotiating for Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe at the moment, despite rumours, News About Nigeria reports.

Contrary to recent reports linking Manchester United with high-profile strikers, popular transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, has revealed that the focus for the Red Devils remains on Rasmus Højlund as their potential new striker.

United is said to be on the verge of making an official bid for the Danish forward Højlund, in the coming days.

Erik ten Hag’s side has been in the market for a new striker to bolster their attacking options and Højlund has emerged as a top target for the club.

The 22-year-old has shown immense promise at Atalanta, attracting attention from several top European clubs, including Manchester United.

While the club was reportedly considering other names, such as Kolo-Muani, they have decided to double down on their pursuit of Højlund.

Talks have progressed well, and personal terms have already been agreed upon, indicating the seriousness of the Red Devils’ interest in the young Danish talent.

The upcoming bid for Højlund represents United’s intent to secure the services of a cheaper, yet promising young striker who can potentially be a long-term solution for the club’s attacking needs.

While the allure of established stars like Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé might be tempting, the club seems determined to invest in a less famous talent with significant potential.

With an official bid expected soon, the focus will now be on Atlanta’s response and the finalization of the transfer deal.
