Mark Goldbridge has taken exception to the way he feels Manchester United is treating its goalkeeper David De Gea, News About Nigeria reports.

The popular English YouTuber and radio presenter claims that De Gea does not deserve the mental stress United is putting him through, having dedicated 12 years of his career to the club.

He frowned that the Red Devils are yet to offer the English Premier League Golden glove holder another contract five days to the end of his current contract with the club, having agreed to the club’s terms of wage review.

“I know there a lot of guys that want to see De Gea go but this is a guy I really like. He has been in this club for 12 years.

“I think it’s disgusting that Manchester United are letting him go for the last few days of his contract, just leaving him hanging there.

“I think the way we treat some players is bad. I think what is happening here is that Erik ten Hag has a budget and he knows what he wants from that budget but now he is not getting those players from that budget,” he thought.

The Manchester United fan, however, thinks the United boss is confused about what to do with the budget he has to sign players, given his demands.

Meanwhile, he believes that things will sort itself out but hopes it won’t take long, so as not to affect the club’s pre-season games as it did in the last campaign.

“I think he is a bit confused on what to do with the budget, whether to go for a €50million goalkeeper and then go for a cheaper strike instead of Harry Kane.

“So I suppose it is a result of a chaotic transfer window for Manchester United so far. Especially when you have a goalkeeper who has five days till the end of his contract and he doesn’t even know whether he is staying or not and we don’t know what striker we are signing as Chelsea are holding us to ransome.

“I know he going to sort these out because we want these players for pre-season because we know what happened by this time last year, we started signing players lately and we lost to Brentford and Brighton.”
