Legendary Chelsea star Jason Cundy has expressed his disappointment on Manchester United players following their poor performance on Thursday, during the second leg fixture of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla, News About Nigeria reports.

Cundy claimed that the performance by United against the Spanish club, was the worst by any English team abroad, since the start of the competition.

He said that Ten Hag’s men deserved their defeat because they failed to put up a fighting spirit throughout the match.

“They were an absolute disgrace all over the pitch. They must have gone into this game knowing how difficult it was.

“Whatever you do, go out and have a fight,” he said.

Last night was a night to forget for the Red Devils at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium as the La Liga side ran out 3-0 winners to book their place in the semi-final, with the first leg having ended 2-2 at Old Trafford.

The first 45 minutes of the game saw Youssef En-Nesyri take advantage of a Harry Maguire mistake from De Gea’s pass to fire the hosts in front.

Shortly after the second half resumed, Sevilla doubled their lead in the tie through a Loic Bade header which De Gea failed to keep out.

En-Nesyri rolled home his second goal into an empty net after De Gea faced a mishit clearance while outside his area.

United crashed out of the league with a goal aggregate of 5-3

Manchester United will be hoping to bounce back this weekend when they play Brighton in the semi-final of the English FA Cup.
