Nigerian hip hop artist, Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, popularly known as CDQ, has made a statement claiming that the reason many women are single in the modern age is largely due to bad friends.

As gathered by News About Nigeria, the rapper stated that a good number of women follow bad advice from friends in their circle, and often struggle to discern whether the advice is applicable to their personal lives.

CDQ explained how “ill assumptions” make it difficult for women to find and maintain relationships with men.

According to him, when a man is wooing a woman, he goes above and beyond to prove his love by buying gifts, sending money, and communicating frequently.

However, when the relationship progresses and the man’s gestures reduce, the woman may start to think he was only playing her or doesn’t love her anymore.

The rapper argued that it is wrong to assume that a man has stopped loving a woman simply because he has reduced his expressions of affection.

CDQ explained that men are wired to focus on hustling and may pause their efforts temporarily to pursue a woman.

However, once they have achieved their goal of being in a relationship, they may resume their hustle, but it doesn’t mean they don’t value or cherish their partner anymore.

CDQ further stated that women are wired to be more interested in love and emotions compared to men, who are primarily focused on hustling.

The rapper’s comments highlight the differences in perspective between men and women when it comes to relationships and the expectations they have.
