Nollywood actress, Chika Ike has declared that Nigerian senator Ned Nwoko is not the father of her unborn child.

Ike took to her Instagram on February 18, 2025, to respond to rumours circulating on social media about her pregnancy and her relationship with the Delta lawmaker.

She expressed the need to clear the air, saying that the speculation was about her child, and she could not remain silent.

The actress firmly stated that the idea of Nwoko being the father of her baby was based on unfounded guesses.

She also clarified that she has no plans to become his seventh wife, as she does not support polygamy.

Ike explained that she had kept her pregnancy a secret for several months, and no one knew about it until she decided to announce it herself.

She called the rumours laughable and urged those spreading them to keep speculating.

“Ned isn’t the Father of my child and whoever name you might come up with later with your guessing games and like I’ve said before I’m not about to be anyone’s 7th wife! Polygamy isn’t for me.

“I’ve been pregnant for months now and no one even had a clue about my pregnancy until I announced it and you all think you’ll know who the father of my child is or anything happening in my life? Very laughable and Clueless!

“Keep digging and coming up with your false news. I don’t care about rumours because I understand it comes with my career choice and the only reason I’m responding to this rumour is because this is about my child. My privacy is my peace and NO ONE can unsettle me. I’m basking in the euphoria of my pregnancy and that’s all that matters to me now.”

News About Nigeria reports that this response comes after recent reports linking Ike and Nwoko, which were fueled by Nwoko’s wife, Regina Daniels, deactivating her Instagram account.

However, Nwoko has also denied the rumours, labeling them as malicious gossip.

His spokesperson issued a statement on his Instagram, describing the claims as baseless and urging the public to disregard them.
