General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), has said that the Armed Forces of Nigeria will never yield to adversity and will always honour fallen heroes.

News About Nigeria reports that the Musa spoke at the 35th anniversary and inauguration ceremony of the 41st Regular Course Memorial Park at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna.

Musa pledged that the Armed Forces would forever remember and honour the sacrifices of fallen heroes, bringing comfort to their grieving families.

The 41st Regular Course Members Association of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) erected a memorial park to honour their fallen colleagues who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country.

Major General John Ochai, representing Musa, honoured the memory of fallen heroes, adding that they were more than just soldiers.

He stated that they were loved ones, including husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters.

This heartfelt tribute acknowledged the profound impact of their sacrifices on families and communities.

“They were patriots who answered the call to serve, to protect, and to defend our nation’s sovereignty,” NAN quoted him as saying.

”We honour their memory today, and we reaffirm our commitment to never forget their sacrifices.”

The CDS thanked the members of the 41 regular course for the magnificent project, adding that it serves as a testament to the bond that united them as comrades-in-arms.

“We shall continue to stand vigilant, united, and strong, defending our nation and upholding the values that our fallen heroes fought and died for,” he said.

On his part, the President of the association, retired Major Lancelot Ayanya, noted that apart from legacy projects for their coursemates who died in active service, the association has a support system for their widows.
