Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has called on FCT residents to partner with him in the progress of Abuja, News About Nigeria reports.

The minister made the call on Monday in his Eid-el-Maulud message to residents of the territory.

He noted that the progress and prosperity of the FCT largely depend on their collective efforts, not just his.

While felicitating with the Muslim faithful on Eid-el-Maulud, the minister called on the residents to imbibe the virtues of patience, tolerance, and a renewed commitment to the development of the FCT.

Wike also tasked the Muslim faithful to use the occasion as an opportunity to pray for the growth of the FCT and Nigeria at large.

He said, “Together, we can build a society where everyone thrives in peace and security, just as the Prophet Muhammad envisioned a just and equitable society. As we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, this day serves as a profound reminder of the virtues, values, and teachings of the Holy Prophet, who embodied compassion, humility, and justice.

“It also provides an opportunity for us to come together as residents of the FCT to reaffirm our commitment to the values of tolerance, love, and kindness that he so tirelessly preached. Let us also take a moment to pray for our nation, Nigeria, and her leaders at all levels as we strive for stability, growth, and the well-being of all citizens.”

Wike reassured residents of Abuja of the FCT Administration’s unwavering commitment to working for their collective progress and wellbeing.
