On Saturday, the minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) electoral victory is more important than the “sole leader” title in Delta State.

News About Nigeria reports that he said this while addressing members of the One Delta APC (a political media group of the party) on Saturday.

According to Keyamo, he is not the state’s sole leader of the APC, and his interest as a leader in the party is to see to its growth and development and to ensure unity and peace within the party.

Keyamo said unity and peace within the party would ensure victory for the party in future elections.

“Electoral victory is more important than the title of ‘sole leader’ of the party in the state,” he said.

The minister called for unity amongst all party leaders, saying that although he is the party’s highest-appointed political officeholder, he does not see himself as the sole leader of the party but rather as one of the many leaders of the party.

He expressed confidence in the party becoming victorious at future elections and pleaded with all party faithful to remain steadfast and committed to the growth and development of the party.

Keyamo appreciated the group for the visit, thanked them for the great work that they had been doing for the party, and urged them to continue.

He concluded that their reward would surely come.

In attendance at the meeting were the Special Assistant to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development on Political, Olorogun Voke Oshasha, and the Special Assistant to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development on Media, Mr. Tunde Mahood.
