Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has accused his late colleague, John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, of betraying him while he was alive.

Yul, in a post on his official Instagram account, explained that he is opening up about his relationship with the late actor because many people have been wondering why he didn’t post Junior Pope to mourn him and why he didn’t attend his burial last weekend.

In the post, the Nollywood actor revealed that he was there for Junior Pope when he needed him the most, but all the late actor did in return was to stab him in the back repeatedly.

Yul said, “I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial. I know many asked why I wasn’t there, why I haven’t said anything about it since. I took him like a brother and good friend. I was there when he needed me but he stabbed me in the back repeatedly. That’s life. I’ll drop the full details soon, so, others can learn from it.”

He further warned his fans and followers to be careful of what they wish for others, as no one knows tomorrow.

“Be careful what you wish people, it could come to you,” he wrote.

News About Nigeria recalls that Junior Pope died in April alongside four others in a boat mishap that happened at the Anam River in Anambra State on their way back from Adanma Luke’s ‘Another Side of Life’ movie shoot.

The 43-year-old actor and father of three was laid to rest in his hometown in Enugu State on Friday, May 17, 2024.
