In a now-deleted Instagram post, Alexar, the wife of Nigerian singer Harrysong, spoke out a week after private conversations between the couple were leaked online, News About Nigeria reports.
On Monday, January 22, 2024, Alexar took to her Instagram Story, posting a cryptic message that read, “I’m done officially.”
The post garnered reactions from social media users, with many assuming that Alexar was referencing the ongoing issues revealed in the leaked chats between her and her husband.
The controversy began when private conversations between the couple surfaced online on January 18, 2024, sparking widespread reactions.”
In one screenshot, Harrysong expressed anger at his wife for refusing to terminate a pregnancy, stating, “And please this is the third time I’m repeating this to you, take off that pregnancy, I will not be responsible for no more child from you. Take it off now, since you have abandoned my grandmother and refused to cook in the house with the 100k I just sent to you just now? You can use that 100k go go take off the pregnancy, final.”
Another screenshot showed the singer comparing his wife to a ‘professional escort’, claiming others had better physical features.
In response to the leaked conversations, Harrysong broke his silence on the same day with an Instagram Story post.
He acknowledged that his family was going through a challenging period and requested privacy for his family.
The post read, “After much reflection and discussions with my family, I have decided to put this out to my fans and well-wishers that while this is undoubtedly a challenging time for my family on the stories making rounds on social media of the problems my wife and I are having. I am appealing to members of the public to respect my family’s privacy this period.”
