A Nigerian nurse and musician, Chidiebere Onwosu popularly known as Mandedes, who is based in the United States, has revealed his plans to build hospitals in Nigeria, stating that it is his little way of contributing to the development of the health sector in the country.

News About Nigeria gathered that Mandedes, who, aside from being a musician, is also an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse practicing in the United States.

According to him, it has always been his dream to become a successful musician and also excel in his career while contributing to his country and other African countries.

Mandedes noted that it has always been difficult for him whenever he is faced with the task of choosing one career to follow, and in his situation, he is choosing between pursuing music or focusing solely on his nursing career.

He stated that as long as it is possible, he will practice both as they are equally important to human beings, adding that no matter how big his musical career gets, he will not quit nursing.

He added that as a nurse, saving lives was paramount to him, and as a musician, he saved souls, which was also important.

“I realised I am all out to make people feel better, save lives, and put smiles on people’s faces.” He said.

He further noted that he was not perturbed about being a diasporan Afrocentric musician, stating that Nigeria and the entire Africa can now be reached from anywhere, and with the support of fellow Nigerians, he was bound to become successful.
