The immediate past Nigerian Ambassador to Mexico, Adejare Bello, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will regain power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is currently in power in Osun State, News About Nigeria reports.

The ex-ambassador made this known while speaking at the reception organised for him in his hometown by the APC leadership and his supporters to formally receive him back to the state on Thursday after completing his assignment in the Latin American nation.

According to Bello, APC will work hard to ensure it regains the power lost to the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, in the next governorship poll.

He further stated that the APC is a party to watch out for in 2026, adding that the people had nothing to fear as APC will come back to power in the state.

The Ede indigene also noted that he is happy for Governor Ademola Adeleke, maintaining that he had congratulated him when he won the governorship elections.

He, however, mentioned that his loyalty was to the APC, and as such, he will defend his party, despite the current governor being his friend.

He therefore urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to maximise the years left and intensify efforts to make sure that he develops every facet of Osun because he may not have another four years.

Bello also expressed optimism that the country will get better under the administration of President Bola Tinubu and urged the people to work together and support the president to enable him to take Nigeria to greater heights.
