The Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba has ordered a 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe, and Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sadiq, to be returned to police custody in connection with the controversial death of the hip hop artiste.

The nurse had been accused of administering injections that allegedly resulted in Mohbad’s death.

At the same time, the magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, granted bail in the sum of N20 million to Mohbad’s former boss, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, known as Sam Larry.

Both had also been implicated in Mohbad’s death and taken into police custody on October 6.

The magistrate set bail conditions for Naira Marley and Sam Larry, stating, “The defendants (Naira Marley and Sam Larry) are hereby granted bail in the sum of N20 million with three responsible sureties in like sum pending the legal advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution. Also, one of the sureties must own a landed property. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”

Additionally, Magistrate Olatunbosun issued a stern warning, saying, no one should contact her directly on the case, and any attempts to do so would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.

The police informed the court that their investigation into the case is still ongoing, and, as a result, Olatunbosun adjourned the case until November 29, awaiting further advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
