The All Progressives Congress (APC) suggests that the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP  Atiku Abubakar, and that of the Labour Party, Peter Obi are suffering from post-election trauma.

Making this disclosure while speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Ajibola Bashiru the party’s national secretary suggested that Obi and Atiku should visit the hospital.

“It is unfortunate that Peter Obi allowed the seeming trauma that has affected Mr Atiku Abubakar to affect him too. And I will say that perhaps there will be a need for our school of psychiatry to begin to look at what is the thing traumatizing some people after electoral loss,” he said.

His comment comes barely a day after Peter Obi addressed a press conference asking President Bola Tinubu to make a clarification about his academic records.

According to Peter Obi, the failure of President Tinubu to address the issues surrounding his Chicago State University certificate saga had tarnished the country’s image on the global stage.

The Labour Party’s candidate urged President Tinubu to address the country and clarify the controversies surrounding his Chicago State University saga.

News About Nigeria recalls that Caleb Westberg, the registrar of Chicago State University, had earlier cleared that the certificate that President Bola Tinubu presented before the Independent National Electoral Commission was not issued by the institution.

Atiku and Peter Obi had filed an appeal with the Supreme Court against the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s decision, which had affirmed President Bola Tinubu’s election. One of the main issues that will be examined at the Supreme Court is the controversy surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s certificate.
