Maryann Moghalu, Wife of the former Deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Kingsley Moghalu has revealed that she alongside her husband was stuck in an elevator for over 30 minutes in the early hours of Monday.
Making this revelation in a tweet on Monday evening, Maryann Moghalu who shared clips from the scene and how they were rescued after being stuck in the elevator for over 30 minutes detailed that their elevator was tucked between floors.
“This morning, @MoghaluKingsley and I were stuck in an elevator for over 30 minutes! The elevator stopped in between floors. I thank God it ended well. This is why you don’t leave home without praying. Ps 91. Never know what is waiting around the corner. Glory to God!” She wrote.
News About Nigeria gathered that Ms Moghalu however did not indicate the country where the incident occurred.
The development comes a few days after Vwaere Diaso a medical doctor died in an elevator in Lagos Island.
According to reports, the deceased was on her way to the ground floor to pick up a delivery from a dispatch rider.
However, the Lagos State government established an investigation team earlier in August to look into the lift accident that killed a medical doctor.
In the aftermath of the tragic incident, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Lagos State declared an indefinite strike, urging all doctors working in the three government hospitals on Lagos Island to go on strike in protest of Diaso’s death
Kingsley Moghalu contested at the 2019 presidential election on the platform of the Young Peoples Party.
