IPOB Calls For Release Of Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has declared the Monday sit-at-home initiative “dead and buried”, News About Nigeria gathered.

Kanu made the announcement while urging the people of the Southeast to embrace the cancelation of the sit-at-home order and move towards a more constructive path.

Speaking through his lead Counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Kanu urged residents of the Southeast to be cautious of those who exploit his name to deceive and defraud people. The sit-at-home order, originally initiated by IPOB to demand Kanu’s release, had unfortunately been hijacked by criminal elements who used it as an opportunity to cause chaos and harm in the region.

Seeking a long-term solution to the sit-at-home troubles, Kanu decided to cancel the initiative and replace it with an Economic Empowerment Day, EED. This new approach aims to foster unity and empower people to overcome challenges through productive means.

In a statement released by Ejiofor, it reads: A statement by Ejiofor reads: “The Oracle #MNK himself has spoken. Even if it’s hitherto voluntarily observed, our people are advised to critically assess the unquantifiable damages arising therefrom, and wisely welcome this unequivocal pronouncement by #MNK totally canceling any form of sit-at-home, and reject the dangerous tendencies of criminal elements using the revered name of #MNK to dupe the gullible and vulnerable.

“Before it was warships parked at the banks of river Benue and river Niger; then, it was Biafra coming in 150 days; now it is donors for a phantom two weeks sit-at-home palliative.

“Before you donate, ask yourself, where and places any imaginary sit-at-home was observed.

“Let our people put on their thinking caps, and resist these serial fraudsters whose sole aim is to exploit their undying love for Biafra and #MNK.

“Biafrans are gifted with wisdom and can no longer be subjects of violent manipulation.”

Kanu’s call for unity and critical thinking resonates with the people of the Southeast, who have endured the adverse effects of the sit-at-home order. With the sit-at-home initiative behind them, they can now focus on empowering themselves economically and working towards a better future for their region.

The cancelation of the sit-at-home order marks a turning point for IPOB, as it emphasizes the importance of constructive approaches in achieving their goals. By choosing the path of empowerment, the people of the Southeast can collectively move towards progress and development, without falling victim to deceitful and harmful influences.
